 RAHAT QURAISHI INDORI ------AN EMINENT URDU POET


                    Rahat Quraishi Indori ( 1 January 1950 - 11 August 2020 ) was an Indian Urdu & Bollywood Poet known for his famous and thoughtful shayaris and a painter. Also he is an Urdu Teaching Pedagogy at Urdu Literature Devi Ahliya University at Indore, Madhya Pradesh. He has  Ph.D Doctorate and completed M.A in Urdu Literature. His Genre is based on Ghazal, Nazm and Geet. Indori has performed in several Mushaira and Kavi Semmalan for 40-45 years. He travelled to almost to every part of the country and several multiple nations across the globe. He worked as Lyricist in several Bollywood films namely Khuddar, Munna Bhai MBBS, Ishq, Kareeb etc., and also wrote some of the books like Do Kadar or Sahi, Chand Pagal Hai, Maujood etc., He passed away on 11 August due to twice cardiac arrest and has been positive for COVID-19 just a night prior to his death.

1 )     Zubaan toh khol, nazar toh mila, jawaab toh de

          Main Kitni baar lutaa hun, mujhe hisaab toh de.

2 )     Log har mod pe ruk ruk ke sambhalte kyun hain

          Itna darte hain toh ghar se nikalte kyun hain.

3 )     Bulati hai Magar jaane ka Nahi, yeh dunya hai edhar jaane ka nahi

        Or mere bete kisi se ishq kar, magar had se guzar jaane ka nahi.

4 )     Roz patthar ki himayat me Ghazal likhte hein

         Roz shizon se koi kaam nikal padta hai.

5 )     Aankh mai paani rakho, Honton pe chingari rakho

         Zinda rahna hai to tarkeebein bahut saari rakho

6 )     Saliqa jinko sikhaya tha humne chalne ka

         Wo aaj hum ko Daye baye karne lage hein.

7 )     Uski Yaad Aayi hai saanson zara ahista chalo

          Dhadkano se bhi Ibadat mein khalal padta hai. 

8 )     Jo taur hai duniya ka usi taur se bolo

         Bahron ka ilaqa hai zara zor se bolo

9 )     Agar qilaf hein to hone do Jaan thodi hai

         Yeh sab Duhaan hai Aasmaan thodi hai.

10 )    Raaz jo kuch ho Ishaaron se mein bta bhi dena

          Hath jab un se Milana tu daba bhi dena.

11 )    Aaj Hum dono ko fursat hai chalo ishq karein

          Ishq dono ki zarurat hai chalo ishq karein 

          Aap Hindu main musalmaan ye isaayi wo sikh

          Yaar choro yeh siasat hai Chalo Ishq karein.

12 )     Sab Kar lena , Lamhe zaaya mat karna

            Galat jagah par jasbeh zaaya mat karna

            Ishq to Niyat ki sacchai dekhta hai

            Dil na jhuke to sajde zaya mat karna.
